Christmas is a time for giving, a time for loving, and a time for sharing, but it can also be very stressful with all of the holiday shopping crowds vying to find that ‘perfect’ gift for somebody. Books make great gifts because they just keep giving, especially if they are as packed full of useful information as MY FIRST GOAL-SETTING BOOK by development coach and mentor, Anthony James Donnelly.

my_first_goalsettin_cover_for_kindleMany people start to think about New Year’s Resolutions at this time of year, but the reason most people fail in their endeavors is they don’t have a workable plan of action.

“Just making a New Year’s Resolution won’t make it happen!”

In MY FIRST GOAL-SETTING BOOK – How To Effectively Set & Achieve Your Life Goals, Donnelly clearly lays out every step you need to take in order to prepare for RESULTS.

He uses clear, simple language with no ‘fluff’, just the information you need to succeed.

If you’ve never set goals before, or set them but not hit them, or are shopping for somebody you know that needs help setting goals to get their life back on track, this is the book for you. It’s available in three convenient formats: Kindle, Paperback, and Audio Book, narrated by the author.

Charity Midlife Crisis…!

WHEN THE AVERAGE BLOKE of our age has a midlife crisis, they usually go and buy a flash car, or a super-bike, or have an affair, or go traveling to ‘find’ themselves, but -since we can’t afford any of that – our midlife crisis consists of working together to build a recording studio and producing a smash hit to raise money for charity!

crash3.jpg.galleryHaving realised that none of us has actually achieved anything in our lives, this felt like a good thing to do. I mean, I can think of worse things to spend your time and energy on, can’t you? Starting a project to help inspire other people to follow suit, surely has to rate as a noble undertaking, right? I know it’s probably quite unusual in a ‘what’s in it for me?’ society to spend your ‘confusing forties’ doing something altruistic, but it’s where we are being called.

“Stay optimistic, but realise the world will think you crazy, until what you are doing becomes normal!”

It’s quite staggering that back in the summer when we began this project we had a huge support from people around us (even my family members that usually snub my crazy ideas!) However, as we near completion of the song and get ready for the big, final push, those closest to us seem to be dropping like flies! Perhaps they are bored with is now, or it could just be the colder weather! We know what we are doing is a bit mad, but unfortunately (or fortunately) in true Mastermind fashion, “We’ve started, so we’ll finish!”

Thanks for being along for the ride. We’ve all but given up on our Kickstarter – even though we picked up a new backer over the weekend! – but if you feel like spreading the word, you can use this link: BACK OUR PROJECT PLEASE!

The real work lays ahead… we’ll do it with or without a music video, but we do need to get the word out there about the song. Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing the finished song after tomorrow, which is our last day in the studio!

Until the next time…!

Keeping The Faith

cloudWell, we’ve got under two weeks to go before our Kickstarter is over, and although we are still only 10% funded, we KNOW we’ve got a hit on our hands with our Christmas song, I Got Pissed With Santa Claus. We don’t know HOW it’s going to be a hit. We don’t know HOW we’re going to hit our Kickstarter target, but we are keeping the faith.

It’s actually quite fun to make believe what will happen, which DJ will be the first to be brave enough to play it on air! Okay, so you may say we are old, piss-head daydreamers, but that worked through school! We also don’t care. As we’ve said before, this isn’t so much about outstanding success, but about actually DOING SOMETHING. We were tired of people just talking about doing stuff, but doing nothing about it. We hope our project at least inspires some other people to act on their dreams!

We are all back in the studio on November 6th to lay down the final version of the song. We’re cutting it fine, but it’s hard to co-ordinate all of us together in the same space at the same time – we’re not yet fortunate enough to be professional musicians that don’t have a ‘day job’! We’ll keep you in the loop, and thank you so much for all your continued support.
